Mihajlovic: Napoli deserve respect

Published on: 21 February 2016

AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has admitted Napoli deserve to be treated with respect ahead of their Serie A clash at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples on Monday evening.

The 47-year-old also revealed he would relish the prospect of marking the leagues top goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain and has targeted victory over Maurizio Sarri’s outfit.

“Napoli have lost two matches but the Juventus game could have easily been a draw, as could the game against Villarreal,” Mihajlovic told reporters during his pre-match press conference.

“We we will go there and try to play to win. These matches are easy to prepare for compared to the games with Carpi for example, this is a game that I would love to play in. I’d like to mark Higuain, it would be a good battle.”

“They will do anything to win. We are not afraid, Napoli deserve respect but we will play our own game.”
