Milan 'told to pay €60m for Napoli keeper Meret' as Donnarumma could leave

Napoli have reportedly set a huge asking price for goalkeeper Alex Meret amid speculation Milan are considering him as a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Rossoneri once again face a dilemma regarding Donnarumma's future as his deal expires in 2021. They must either get him to agree a renewal before next season or sell this summer to avoid him walking away for free.

A number of clubs continued to be linked with the 21-year-old, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain most recently, which has forced Milan to look for replacements so as not to be caught off guard by Donnarumma's potential sale.

Earlier in the month it was claimed that Alex Meret is on the list of the club's hierarchy as a possible heir to Donnarumma, with the Napoli stopper having fallen out of favour, currently behind David Ospina in the pecking order.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.it), Meret by age and characteristics would represent the ideal profile, but the big problem could be represented by the Azzurri's asking price.

The paper claims that president Aurelio De Laurentiis would only be willing to listen to offers starting from €60million.
