Milan's new global sponsorship manager Rasmussen has already settled in (GdS)

Milan's new Global Sponsorship Manager Alex Rasmussen has already settled in and has begun work over the last week, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state in their Wednesday edition (via MilanLive) that the COVID-19 pandemic postponed Rasmussen's move to the city, but not his start with the club.

In fact, Rasmussen – who arrived from FC Copenhagen – is already operational and will help the club to revive the commercial sector as soon as the Coronavirus emergency is over.

Among his main tasks is that of increasing revenues from sponsorships, making new agreements and renewing existing ones. After all, raising the Diavolo also in commercial terms is a priority for Elliott Management Corporation.

The deal with Emirates for example has been closed but on the fixed basis of €10million per season plus bonuses, therefore lower than the previous agreement which was €14million fixed.

A Business Administration graduate, Rasmussen comes from the Danish capital where he was sales director from 2013 until last month. He will join the other already present figures: Casper Stylsvig (Chief Revenue Officer), and James Murray (Chief of Staff of the CEO).

The goal is clear: while Elliott will try to revive Milan on a technical-sports level, they will have to do it strictly on an economic level.
