MTN Ghana FA Cup begins on 23 December

The 2012/2013 MTN Ghana FA Cup will kick-start on 23 December, the Ghana Football Association confirmed on Monday. 

The knockout competition will begin with the preliminary round of which involves clubs in the second and third tiers.

The sixteen (16) Premier League clubs will join the competition during the round of 32.

New Edubiase won the competition last season after a 1-0 win over AshantiGold.

The Ghana FA Cup was revived in 2010 after it was abandoned for a decade and second-tier side Nania won it for the first time.
