Steaua Buchuresti’s injured midfielder Muniru Sulley will undergo surgery next week to correct multiple facial bone fractures.
Sulley came out worse after he was headed in the face by an Astra Giurgiu player during Wednesday’s Romanian League Cup semi-final second leg.
He had to be rushed to a hospital in Bucharest in an ambulance and was admitted as an emergency case.
Sulley will spend the rest of the season in the treatment room and rehabilitation.
