Ghana youngster Najeeb Yakubu has been named in the Ukraine Premier League team of the week after putting in an outstanding performance over the weekend.
Yakubu scored to rescue a point for FC Vorskla Poltava as they drew 1-1 at Mariupol in round 26 of the the Ukrainian top division on Saturday.
The 20-year-old joined the game at the start of the second half as he replaced Edin Sehic on the right side of the midfield and opened the scoring in the 59th minute.
The goal was the second for the versatile player for the club since joining and his first of the 2019/2020 campaign.
Yakubu has made 12 appearances for Vorksla Poltava in all competitions this season.
