Newly appointed head coach of Inter Allies FC Jimmy Cobblah has no intentions of over hauling the team he has inherited as he seeks to steer the Tema based side from the wrong end of the Ghana Premier League Table.

Cobblah left Wa All Stars at the start of the season in a surprise mutual agreement but his sabbatical lasted barely 3 months.

He will be seeking to address the team’s defensive woes which has seen them concede 14 goals in 11 matches.

They currently occupy 15th on the league log with only a point separating them from bottom placed Ebusua Dwarfs.

Keeping faith with the present first team is what he intends to do.

He even admitted that his predecessor Herbert Addo has left behind a group he can be proud of.

“Herbert has been my mentor for a long time and due to this I didn’t hesitate when Inter Allies approached me with the offer.

“I know the work he has done for the club and was sure that the foundations of this team would be solid.

“Early interactions with players indicate that a large part of the problem has to do with attitude.

“Players need to understand that talent alone will not get you there if you are not ready to back it with hard work,”he told Citi Sports shortly after he was confirmed as head coach.

He will be in the dugout for his first official match when they take on struggling defending champions Ashanti Gold in mid week at the Tema Stadium.
