New King Faisal goalie Ibrahim Danlad seeks revenge against WAFA

King Faisal newboy Ibrahim Danlad has set sights on avenging the defeat he suffered at the hands of WAFA whiles on loan at Berekum Chelsea last season.

Danlad, who joined the Insha Allah lads in the second transfer window on loan from Asante Kotoko, has pledged to keep a clean sheet if he is given the nod to start against the Academy Boys.

The Ghana U-20 goalkeeper tasted his first defeat as goalkeeper of Chelsea against WAFA, and wouldn't want his first match as King Faisal goalie to end in a loss against the same side.

“It’s a very tough match personally for me because when I went to Chelsea (last season), they were the first team to beat us at Berekum and that ended my clean sheet record at home,” Danlad told FootballMadeinGhana.com

“So this time around, I want to try my possible best, that’s why I’m working extra hard. This is a like a revenge for me and I will prove to them that I need not concede this time around if given the opportunity to be in goal,” he added.

King Faisal have augmented their squad with the signings of experienced players, Paul Aidoo, Latif Salifu, Samudeen Ibrahim and Eric Donkor.

The Premier league strugglers are bent on avoiding relegation.
