According to The Sun, Newcastle United are keen to sign Anderlecht's Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong during the summer transfer window.
The Magpies raided Anderlecht twice last summer in order to sign centre back Chancel Mbemba and striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, but they may yet look to snatch another star from the Belgian giants.
The Sun report that Newcastle are planning to make a summer bid, potentially in the region of £5m, to try and prise winger Acheampong away from Anderlecht.
Acheampong, 22, who signed for Anderlecht from Thai side Buriram United in 2013, has been a regular of the Anderlecht side ever since that move, recording ten goals so far.
An eight-cap Ghana international, Acheampong has blistering pace and versatility down the left hand side, having played at wing back and as a winger during his time in Belgium.
Newcastle not only need a left back this summer - a position Acheampong could play if needed - but they could also bring in another winger even after Andros Townsend's move from Tottenham in January, meaning Acheampong would give them an option in both positions.
