Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles, will battle Black Satellites of Ghana on Wednesday for a place in the final of the AYC in Dakar, Senegal.

Ghana fell 1-0 to Mali in their last group match on Sunday to set the stage for a renewal of the rivalry between the two West African nations.

Nigeria finished top of Group A with seven points from three games, while Ghana finished runners-up in Group B with six points.

The second semi-final will be between Group B winners Mali and the hosts, Senegal, who finished second in Group B.

Nigeria and Ghana have met five times in this competition, with Ghana having the upper hand winning four of the previous meetings in 1985 (2-1), 1993 (1-0), 1999 (1-0), and 2001 (4-1), while Nigeria won in 2011 (2-1).

Last month, both teams clashed in warm-up games ahead of the AYC.

The first match in Accra ended in a 2-2 draw, while Nigeria won the second match in Tema 2-0.
