Owner of Asante Kotoko Otumfour Osei Tutu II has pledged his fullest support to the current leadership of the club in the wake of reports of an imminent shakeup in the board and management.

Reports have surfaced that the Ashanti King is planning to make surprise changes in the club’s board and management.

The news is even more surprising as the side are in with a chance of finishing the season with a historic double following their successful Premier League defence and an FA Cup final to come.

But the club’s owner is reportedly unhappy with the side’s financial status for which he will be effecting the changes.

But spokesperson for Otumfour Osei Tutu II; Owusu Boateng says these reports are palpably false.

“The current leadership of the club have the fullest support of Otumfour and therefore it is never true that he is considering any clear out as being speculated,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“A clear out for who to come and run the club? These reports are simply false and are very unfair to Otumfour.

“He is happy with the way the club is being run and has no intensions whatsoever of embarking on a clear out.”

Kotoko will be battling Medeama on July 14 in the grand finale of the MTN FA Cup competition.

Success in the cup final will see the side finish the season with a double following the successful defence of the Ghana Premier League title.

The Porcupine Warriors however suffered a disappointing early exit from the CAF Champions League.
