Ghana defender John Paintsil wants coach Milovan Rajevac to abide by his promise of signing a new deal with the Black Stars.

The Serbian manager has been reluctant on signing a new four-year deal after he had agreed terms with the Ghana FA.

This comes after wealthy Saudi giants Al Ahly Jeddah flashed cash on the coach who had initially snubbed overtures from the club.

Rajevac has made a huge impact on the Black Stars and the players have loved working with him after taking them to the quarter finals of the World Cup.

Paintsil, who captained the Black Stars in their game against Swaziland, wants the coach to live up to his promise.

"He loves Ghana so much and promised to stick us so I don't think that move is going to work," Paintsil said.

Rajevac gave Ghana its smoothest qualification to the World Cup before steering the Black Stars to the quarters of the World Cup.

He also led the West Africans to reach their first African Cup of Nations final since 1992.
