Parma coach tips his hat to Ghana starlet Geraldo

Parma head coach Franco Colomba has heaped praise on Ghana Under-20 striker Selorm Geraldo following impressive output in Saturday friendly at the Stadio Tardini.

The 15-year-old was a second half substitute and tormented the Parma backline.

But for inexperience, he could have scored the opener on 70 minutes but his shot hit the stretched legs of goalkeeper Paverini.

Colomba, who signed ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah to Bologna three seasons ago, believes the teenager is ready for top-tier football.

"I saw the Ghana team play very well especially when the number 20 came on (Selorm Geraldo). He is very young but he has got great potential," Colomba told GHANAsoccernet.com

Geraldo, who earned a late call-up to the Black Satellites team, is likely to sign for an Italian club.

He was spotted by scouts during a four-team youth tournament played in Accra this year.
