It was a tough weekend for Ghanaian players as only five players registered their names on the scoresheet.

Frank Acheampong continued his scintillating form in front of goal as he bagged his 13th strike of the campaign but it was not enough to rescue Tianjin Teda from defeat.

Owusu Acheampong welcomed his maiden Black Stars call-up win a solitary strike to help Antwerp record yet another win.

Thomas Partey climbed off the bench to inspire Atletico Madrid overcome a stubborn Rayo Vallecano side.

Despite starting the campaign on the wrong foot, Daniel Amartey put in one of his best performance for Leicester City in a famous win at Southampton.

ENGLAND

Daniel Amartey played exceptionally well as Leicester City rallied from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 at the St. Mary's Stadium.

Collin Quaner was left out of Huddersfield squad that played goalless with Cardiff City.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh was not added to Wolverhampton Wanderers squad that played 1-1 with Manchester City.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah cameoed for Aston Villa in their 1-1 draw with Reading FC. Andy Yiadom played 90 minutes for Reading FC.

Caleb Ekuban was again left out of Leeds United squad as they recorded a 3-0 win over Norwich City.

In League One, Bernard Mensah was an unused substitute for Bristol Rovers in their 1-0 home loss to Southend United.

Joe Dodoo played 80 minutes for Blackpool in their 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley.

Tarique Fosu missed Charlton Athletic goalless draw with Fleetwood Town through injury.

Kwesi Appiah was not included in AFC Wimbledon squad that lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland.

In League Two, Hiram Boateng played the entire duration for Exeter City in their 1-0 loss MK Dons.

Kobby Arthur was taken off at half time for Macclesfield in their 1-1 draw with Mansfield.

In the lower-tier division, Harold Odametey played 90 minutes for Maidenhead in their 3-2 win over Maidstone. Nana Ofori Twumasi also played full minutes of action for Maidstone. Nana Owusu and Darius Osei were left out of their respective teams.

Kevin Lokko played 90 minutes for Dover Athletic in their 2-1 home defeat to Eastleigh. Nortei Nortey lasted 61 minutes for Dover Athletic.

Kwame Thomas missed Solihull 3-1 loss at Harrogate through injury.

SPAIN

Mubarak Wakaso picked a booking but lasted 90 minutes for Deportivo Alaves in their goalless draw with Real Betis. Patrick Twumasi cameoed for Deportivo Alaves.

In the Segunda Division, Yaw Yeboah picked a booking but played 90 minutes for CD Numancia in their 1-1 stalemate with Cadiz CF.

In the Bundesliga 2, Jan Gyamerah cameoed for Bochum in their 1-0 win over Sandhausen.

David Atanga was taken off with just 17 minutes on the clock after picking injury for Greuther Furth in their 2-2 draw with SC Padeborn 07. Christian Adjei-Antwi played 90 minutes for Padeborn while Bernard Tekpetey cameoed for them.

Agyemang Diawusie was not included in the Ingolstadt squad that played 1-1 at Magdeburg.

In the Bundesliga 3, Kelvin Weidlich played 90 minutes for Energie Cottbus in their 1-1 draw against Meppen.

Emmanuel Gyasi cameoed for Spezia in their 1-0 defeat at Venezia.

Moses Odjer warmed the bench for Salernitana in their goalless draw with Palermo.

FRANCE

Grejohn Kyei was left out of Stade de Reims squad that lost 4-1 at Amiens.

Enock Kwateng played 90 minutes for Nantes FC in their 1-1 stalemate with Caen. Majeed Waris picked a booking as a second half substitute for Nantes FC

In the Ligue 2, Ebenezer Assifuah warmed the bench for Le Havre in their 1-0 loss at Stade Brestois.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi was an unused substitute for Sochaux in their 1-0 defeat against Clermont Foot.

Black Stars returnee John Boye was a stalwart in defence for FC Metz as they pipped Troyes 1-0 at away.

Leeroy Owusu played the entire duration for De Graafschap in their 1-0 defeat st home to FC Groningen.

BELGIUM

Elton Acolatse registered an assist for Sint Truiden in their 3-2 loss at Standard Liege. Samuel Asamoah cameoed for the losers.
