Tottenham boss Redknapp rules out move for Muntari

Midfielder Sulley Muntari looks set to stay with Inter Milan after Tottenham completely ruled out a move for the Ghanaian.

Muntari has been unable to get some playing time at the Serie A champions since the arrival of coach Rafa Benitez.

As a result the Ghanaian has been heavily linked with a return to England to play for Tottenham.

Muntari has been linked with a swap offer from Inter for Spurs wing ace Gareth Bale.

But Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says he isn't interested in a reunion with Muntari.

Redknapp said: "I do not want to give a wrong signal to the outside, we're a team that does need to sell and instead we must keep players of his type.

"Muntari? l wanted him at Portsmouth, he is a great player but we do not need to buy in that area of the field."

This revelation leaves Muntari with no option but to fight for his first team place at Inter Milan.
