PREMIER - City does not forget Isak: Guardiola's next forward?

Published on: 06 November 2021

Alexander Isak wants to play in the Premier League, he confirmed in an interview with the English newspaper Independent, and several important teams have him in their sights to be able to reinforce their forwards in the next markets, taking advantage of his impressive emergence since his signing for Real Sociedad scored by Imanol Alguacil.

The Swedish international signed a new contract with the Basque team in the summer and has a link with the club until June 2026, which has raised his price to a level almost impossible to afford for any team outside of England.

One of the main interested in taking over his services is Manchester City, which has run out of options in the center forward (Sergio Agüero left the club after finishing his contract and Gabriel Jesús does not finish convincing in that position) and that they want make a significant outlay to incorporate a first-rate striker, bearing in mind that the signing of Harry Kane seems impossible to assume after the arrival of Antonio Conte at Tottenham.
