PREMIER - Gunners win despite getting basic changing room

Published on: 18 September 2021

Arsenal has already won back-to-back games, indicating that they are on the right track following three straight defeats to begin the season.

Mikel Arteta's team were met with an unwelcome surprise when they arrived at Turf Moor to find Sunday League-style changing rooms.

Clubs are not permitted to have the two teams in such close proximity due to coronavirus protocols, thus many clubs have to use random rooms throughout their respective stadiums as away dressing rooms.

At Turf Moor this afternoon, Arsenal were handed a plastic floor and a chair to hang their jerseys on.

Despite the modest changing rooms, the Gunners beat the Clarets 1-0 away from home courtesy of Martin Odegaard's spectacular first-half free-kick.
