PREMIER LEAGUE - Liverpool to challenge Everton for Yarmolenko

Published on: 03 April 2016

Liverpool will offer Dynamo Kiev £25m in an effort to convince them to part company with Andriy Yarmolenko, according to reports.

Yarmolenko has been a long-term target for Arsenal and Everton but now the Reds are planning to beat both of them to the player’s signature.

The Sun claim Jurgen Klopp sees the Ukrainian international as the ideal man to strengthen his attacking group as he seeks to overhaul the Liverpool squad.

And his international boss Mykhaylo Fomenko this week added fuel to the fire by suggesting Yarmolenko should seek out a Premier League move.

“If he is wanted by the top English clubs then, yes, he can show his best in the Premier League and he must do this," Fomenko said.

"He is the leader of our team and leader of our squad.”
