Manchester United believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster can be completed by the landing of Declan Rice from West Ham, according to the latest reports.
The English giants enjoyed a big-spending summer but received criticism for not bringing in a new defensive midfielder. Declan was strongly linked with the likes of the Red Devils and Chelsea in the summer transfer market but a move did not materialise.
The Hammers reportedly value the 22-year-old star at an eye-watering £100 million. That asking price was somewhat justified by Declan’s excellent performances for England at UEFA Euro 2020.
He was part of a huge £130 million outlay but United’s plans for future transfer markets are reportedly already in motion.
The Sun claim that their technical department, which consists of John Murtough and ex-midfielder Darren Fletcher, believe that Declan is the player who can take the club to the next level.
