Saitama: The 2017 AFC Champions League winners will meet the 2016 champions when Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds take on Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of Korea Republic in their Group G tie at the Saitama Stadium on Tuesday.
Urawa lead the way in the table after their scoreless draw against Beijing FC on Matchday Two took them to four points from two games.
Their form in the J.league has been less impressive, though, and a 3-0 defeat at home to Yokohama F. Marinos on Friday leaves them eighth in the standings.
After defeating Beijing 3-1 in their opening game, Jeonbuk lost 1-0 away at Thailand’s Buriram United four weeks ago and have now been beaten in their last three away games on the Continent.
The two-time champions defeated Kashiwa Reysol 2-0 in the 2018 group stage on what was their last visit to Japan, and they go into the match on the back of a 2-0 victory over Incheon United in K League 1 in the weekend.
