Ghana's Under-20 ladies team will leave Accra on Wednesday for their FIFA Women's World Cup final round first leg qualifier against South Africa.

A team of 18 players and seven officials including head coach Robert Sackey are expected to make the trip in midweek.

The Black Princesses are chasing their second successive World Cup qualification following their maiden appearance in Germany 2010.

The 2012 World Cup finals will be hosted by Japan in August.

Ghana have the psychological edge after the Under-17 women's side thrashed Bantwana 5-1 last Friday to qualify for the World Cup in Azerbaijan.
