Breaking News: Moroccan giants Raja cancel contract of Nathaniel Asamoah, striker returns to Medeama
Nathaniel Asamoah's contract at Medeama terminated

Ghana striker Nathaniel Asamoah is set to return to FA Cup champions Medeama after Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca reached an agreement to terminate his contract, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 25-year-old is being let go after spending just five months with the Moroccan club.

Asamoah’s performance is considered not satisfactory enough, leading to the termination of the contract.

The Ghana striker, per the agreement of his contract termination, is to revert to Medeama SC.

“Raja Casablanca agreement with Medeama, the original team of Ghanaian player Nathaniel Asamoah requires the return of the player to his team,” a club statement from Raja Casablanca read.

The former Red Star Belgrade hitman was on track towards being crowned the top scorer of last season’s Ghana Premier League but his move to Raja – while in exhilarating form – saw him miss out.

The accolade was eventually won by Berekum Chelsea’s Kofi Owusu.

Asamoah's return is a massive boost for Medeama as they prepare for the CAF Confederation Cup.
