Executive Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Randy Abbey has touted budding Great Olympics defender Samuel Ashie-Quaye for greatness.

Ashie-Quaye, 20, has been one of the revelations of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The La-born full-back — who is ambidextrous — has won the hearts of several advocates of the Ghanaian top-flight due to his versatility.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM, Randy Abbey has predicted a bright future for the highly-rated Great Olympics youngster.

“There is a player at Great Olympics and he is called Samuel Ashie Quaye,” he said.

“I think he is a professor and we must watch out for him,” he added.

Ashie-Quaye was a member of the Black Satellites team that won the 2021 African Youth Championship in Mauritania this year.
