Real Madrid boss Mourinho makes Tottenham's Modric priority target

Real Madrid are chasing Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.

The Daily Star Sunday says fresh from winning La Liga, Jose Mourinho wants to use his position of power to add even more attacking talent.

And the Madrid boss is convinced Modric is suited to Spanish football with his vision and passing skills.

Mourinho would have to pay upwards of £35million to secure the tricky Croatian, 26, but he believes he is worth the big fee.

And with the chance to play in a glamour side on offer, it will be hard to keep Modric in Spurs’ ranks.
