Real Madrid have confirmed talisman and club captain Sergio Ramos will not be signing a new deal and will subsequently leave the club this summer.

Speculation surrounding the Spaniard's future in Madrid has circulated for some time, with negotiations over a new deal reportedly stalling following his refusal to accept a significant pay cut.

A whole host of clubs have been credited with an interest in Ramos should he choose to depart the Santiago Bernabeu once his contract expires this summer, and the club have now taken to their official website to confirm he will not be renewing his deal.

"Real Madrid CF announces that tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, at 12:30 pm, there will be an institutional act of tribute and farewell to our captain Sergio Ramos, with the presence of our president Florentino PĂ©rez.

"Next, Sergio Ramos will appear before the media at a telematic press conference."
