As the curtains draw on the first round of matches in the 2023/2024 Volta Regional Football Association Division Two League (Southern Sector B Zone B), we emerged as a formidable force, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the campaign as we currently sit at the top of the league table.
Playing our home matches at the Battor R/C Park, we have displayed a strong winning mentality, securing victories in 4 out of 7 matches completed.
Our journey began on a controversial start, facing a no-show from Manya Red Lions on Match Day 1. While the outcome of this match is still pending the FA’s disciplinary committee decisions, we haven’t let that deter us.
On Match Day 3, we displayed our dominance with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Galaxy FC. This victory set the tone for a series of impressive performances, including a hard-fought 2-1 win against Bakpa FC and a commanding 4-1 triumph over Soccer Wonders on Match Day 4 and 5 respectively.
Facing stiffer competition, we held our own and secured a well-earned draw against Alke FC at home on Match Day 6, before sharing the spoils in a close encounter with Trinity Stars away on Match Day 7.
On Match Day 8, we played a hard-fought goalless draw against Mepe United FC. We then finished the first round on a high note, securing a comfortable 2-0 win over Monaco FC at our home grounds.
This dominant performance positions us as strong contenders for promotion to Division one League. As we prepare for the second round, the team remains poised to build upon this impressive performance and continue their journey towards glory.
