Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso will arrive in Ghana on Saturday to begin preparations for Ghana’s game against Mozambique, his club Las Palmas has confirmed.

The 26-year-old was a huge doubt for the game slated for the 24th of this month but his club has confirmed he will be traveling to Ghana over the weekend.

Wakaso who is yet to kick a ball in the last three weeks earned a call up despite still recovering from a thigh problem.

Below is the full statement from his club:

Wakasa travel to his country on Saturday after the release of the UD Las Palmas as well stipulated in the regulations of FIFA for international matches ( 5 days before when it comes to different continents ) . Ghana will play the first of their two games in Accra on Thursday 22 , while back in Maputo will take place on Sunday 27th .

The opponent in this valid qualifiers for the African Nations Cup 2017 will be Mozambique.

The player will take the medical report certifying that is in its last phase of recovery for the Ghana Federation assess if he is already ready to play.
