Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has been defended by his coach at Red Bull Salzburg.

Red Bull Salzburg coach Roger Schmidt has hailed defender Isaac Vorsah despite recent criticisms of his performance.

The Ghana international has been faulted by the club fans for the side's increased slack displays in the Austrian top flight.

The 24-year-old admitted to his poor performance in the astonishing 3-2 win at Wacker Innsbruck last weekend.

But coach Schmidt insists Vorsah has made a lot of difference in his team since arriving in  from German club TSG Hoffenheim.

"He (Vorsah) has already proved an entirely different level, how much quality he has. There we want to go with him again,'' Schmidt said.

The ex Asante Kotoko player has established himself as a regular at the Wals-Siezenheim based club.

He has made 13 starts already and has been sent off once since arriving in January.

Vorsah has been listed on Ghana's roster for their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan at the Baba Yara Stadium this Sunday.
