Returning AC Milan star ready for Bologna clash

Published on: 05 January 2016

New AC Milan signing Kevin-Prince Boateng is likely to be included in coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team-sheet for their upcoming match at home to Bologna on Wednesday afternoon.

It will be a second debut for the 28-year-old, who featured in 74 matches for the Rossoneri between 2010-2013, finding the net 10 times.

Much depends on the clearing of all paperwork at the Lega offices but MilanNews report that everything will be finalised this morning, making Boateng an eligible option for his new team.

The Ghanaian should not require much acclimatising to his new surroundings as he has been training with the team for over a month, after terminating his contract with Schalke 04 in early December.

Rossoneri management will be hoping that the return of Boateng will bring about a change of fortunes as the Diavolo have struggled since his departure, amassing disappointing eighth and 10th place finishes in the subsequent years.

Milan currently sit sixth in the Serie A table and are at risk of yet another season without the glory of European football.
