Midfielder Richmond Lamptey hailed Asante Kotoko following a 2-0 win over Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko won the encounter with two late goals scored by Ismail Ganiu and Samuel Boateng in their first match at the Baba Yara Stadium in over a year.

Lamptey was impressive in the middle for the Porcupine Warriors who enjoyed incredible support despite the stadium being limited to 25 per cent spectators.

The former Inter Allies player was making his home debut for Kotoko after scoring in his first appearance last weekend against Dreams FC.

“Everything I heard about Baba Yara and the fans was nothing but the truth. I felt the love. Great win and good to be back home playing in front of our amazing fans. #Homecoming,” Lamptey tweeted.

Kotoko lead the table with six points after winning their first two games and they will head to Bibiani next weekend to face league debutants Bibiani Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park.
