Italian coach Roberto Landi has revealed he is taking Ghana Premier League club AshantiGold to FIFA over his unpaid salaries.

According to the 64-year-old, the Miners have not paid him since he signed a contract to become their head coach in February.

And has tried every means possible to collect his money but to no avail, thus he has decided to report the former league champions to the world football governing body.

“I left Ghana one week ago because I didn’t agree with the club president concerning my contract. We signed the contract on 20 February but until October I haven’t been paid. Now I have referred the case to my lawyer concerning my contract and we will head to FIFA," he told Happy FM.

“Nobody sent me an official document to renegotiate my contract during the COVID-19 period. I want all my money and this has nothing to do with the pandemic. If It was in March or April and they sent me a notification our salary reduction due to the COVID-19 then it fine”.

“They have to respect me, I am a FIFA Pro License coach and not an amateur, I have given the case to my lawyer. If they pay me my money we can renegotiate the contract or something. It is not my problem if they are looking for a new coach”.

Landi signed a contract with AshantiGold in February 2020 after reaching an agreement to be the head coach of the club.

However, he left to his native Italy, following the ban on football due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Liberia head coach arrived in the country in September 2020 to begin his adventure with the Miners after the ban was lifted.

Landi is requesting for his unpaid salaries from since he penned the contract for the Miners but the club have refused to honour the demands.

He worked in Lithuania, Georgia, Libya, Belgium, Scotland and Hungary before heading to Ghana.
