Rossi ready for comeback after training with Manchester United

Having trained with former club Manchester United, free agent forward Giuseppe Rossi has insisted that he is ready to return to action once more.

The 31-year-old has been plagued with injuries throughout his career, particularly recurring knee problems, and has been without a club since leaving Genoa upon the expiration of his contract last summer.

In the meantime, he has been training with the Red Devils, the club which gave him his start in senior football, and is on the lookout for a comeback, be it in Italy or elsewhere.

“It was a beautiful gesture to be invited to train here. It isn’t something that I take for granted and is really appreciate,” Pepito told the club’s official website. “Things are going well, the boys have welcomed me warmly and it is a pleasure to be here.

“I’m ready to get back to playing with consistency again. I’ve been ready for a while but unfortunately I’ve been without a team for four or five months.

“However, I’m looking forward to coming back. I can’t wait for the day that I am back on the field. I hope that something good will come along.”

Rossi has also been capped 30 times by Italy throughout his career and scored seven times in the blue jersey.
