Reports from Azerbaijan have it that promising Nigeria Michael Umanyika has died while training with his club last Monday.
Michael Umanyika, a teenager, slumped and died in training with Azerbaijani Division One club, Zagatala PFK. The promising midfielder fell during his first training session with the club this season at the Zaqatala City Stadium on Monday, and all efforts made by the club’s medical team to revive him proved abortive; as he was confirmed dead.
Late Umanyika joined Zagatala in the summer of 2015, and made 20 games appearance for the club in the 2015/16 league season in Azerbaijan.
