Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has hit back at criticism from supporters following the recent departures of Eder and Ervin Zukanovic.

With the two players moving on to join Inter and Roma respectively, Blucerchiati fans have been vocal on social media, hitting out at Ferrero for allowing the club’s key players to leave.

Ferrero took to Twitter, where he is known for being active, to encourage those who are frustrated to rest easy.

“Relax, I love my Sampdoria,” he posted.

Nevertheless, Ferrero also unleashed a series of personal insults to those who were insulting him, sparking further conflict.

In an open letter published by the supporters clubs, the Sampdoria fans are pushing Ferrero to leave the club, as the selling of the club’s star players have left them angered.
