In the fight for the other European spots, Inter were held to a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona, Atalanta scored two without reply against Sampdoria, and Roma beat Parma 2-1.
Elsewhere, Sassuolo beat Bologna 2-1 and Torino came back to win 3-1.

His work ethic could not be questioned and he scored the winner with a spectacular long-range effort.
Darko Lazovic – Hellas Verona
Gave Milan Skriniar nightmares in the Inter defence. Opened the scoring after an excellent dribble and beat Samir Handanovic from a tight angle.
Simone Verdi – Torino
The former Bologna and Napoli winger provided some much-needed creative spark in the Granata attack. Had two great chances to score in the first half before playing a part in the Ales Mateju own goal and Andrea Belotti’s goal to give Torino the lead.
Ante Rebic – AC Milan (3 apps)
The Croatian forward was once again involved in the goals for the Rossoneri. Earned the penalty to pull the score back to 2-1, was involved in the third goal, and scored the fourth to seal win.
Domenico Berardi – Sassuolo (2 apps)
Troubled Takehiro Tomisayu throughout the game and opened the scoring in style with a fantastic individual strike.
