South Africa forced to rejig squad for Ghana friendly

South Africa coach Pitso Mosimane has made five changes to the squad for the Nations Cup warm-up match against Ghana. Â 

Morgan Gould, who captained Bafana Bafana in a 0-0 draw with Equatorial Guinea, has been recalled by his club SuperSport United.

Three other players have returned to their clubs abroad and Erick Mathoho who is bereaved has been released.

Their replacements are Thami Sangweni (AmaZulu), Thato Mokeke, Nhlanhla Vilakazi (both Ajax), Lehlohonolo Masalesa (Bidvest Wits) and Thabo Nthete (Bloemfontein Celtic).

The quintet is already in camp at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Complex.

Ghana play the Bafana Bafana in a second training match Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Sunday on Sunday at 14:00 GMT.
