The Ministry of Youth and Sports has congratulated the Black Queens, Ghana's women's national football team, on their qualification for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament.

The team secured their spot in the tournament with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Namibia in the final round of the qualifiers, despite losing 1-0 in the second leg.

This qualification marks the first time in five years that Ghana has qualified for the WAFCON, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports is proud of the team's achievement.

In a statement, the Ministry said, "Congratulations to the Black Queens for Qualifying to the next African Women's Cup of Nations."

The Black Queens have previously missed the last two editions of the continental showpiece, making their qualification for the 2024 tournament a significant milestone for the team.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports looks forward to seeing the team's performance in the upcoming tournament.
