Stellone: Frosinone still believe in survival

Published on: 28 February 2016

Frosinone coach Roberto Stellone is adamant that his team can remain in Serie A after a 2-0 defeat away at Sampdoria left the Canarini four points away from safety.

The Gialloazzurri boss felt that his side performed relatively well against the Blucerchiati even if they failed to leave the Stadio Luigi Ferraris with anything.

“We played well against a strong team who will certainly drag themselves out of the relegation battle,” said Stellone.

“The numbers say that Frosinone are still alive and we showed that at the Marassi.

“We conceded two goals almost out of nothing, the first one was right at the end of the first half and we should have been able to avoid that while the second came after a series of rebounds.”

The Frosinone boss promised not to dwell on the result as the team looks to bounce back immediately.

“We will keep moving forward, we will continue to fight, work and play with the same devotion that we have showed in recent games,” Stellone added.

“Next Sunday against Udinese we will have a chance to redeem ourselves.”
