Hearts stop-gap coach Ben Adjei has praised the lion-hearted spirit of his team after they fought back to beat Real Tamale United 3-2 in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Hearts shot ahead through captain Mahatma Otoo in the first half, moments after Moro Abubakar had missed a penalty.

United drew parity through Hanan Gyiwah’s header and profited from goalkeeper Tetth Lugard’s howler to shot into the lead courtesy Salim Ahmed Sakara.

With ten minutes remaining, the Phobians went in search of the equalizer and in one of such attacks, Hearts were awarded their second penalty on the day after Edward Affum was brought down in the 18-yard box.

Moro Iddrisu stepped up and scored beautifully to give the team the needed lifeline.

Hearts managed to pick maxmum points by the scruff of the neck after Edward Affum scored an injury time winner from a teasing cross from Laryea Kingston.

“ We thank God we managed to win this game because it was very important we won,” Adjei said

“We are going to work hard and ensure we continue our resurgence from here.

“We have to keep working hard to achieve our aim. Like I said we are going to work hard every ‘fucking’ day to keep the spirit up.

Hearts next game will be a difficult away tie at arch-rivals Kotoko on November 18.
