Striker Jo Kuffour returns to Bristol Rovers

Gillingham begin life without Jo Kuffour against Aldershot on Monday.

The striker has returned to parent club Bristol Rovers after a successful three-month loan spell where he scored seven goals in 12 games and although a permanent deal looks set to go through in January, it is unlikely to be in time for the Bank Holiday clash.

Striker Danny Kedwell picked up a knock in Friday's defeat at Dagenham and is a doubt as is Joe Martin, who suffered a calf injury in east London.

Matt Fish is likely to miss out again as he battles an ankle ligament injury while Luke Rooney completes a two-match ban.

However, Charlie Lee returns from a two-game ban of his own and will come into the squad and Chris Whelpdale, Lewis Montrose and Andy Frampton all made returns from injury on Friday and will be involved again.
