Rivals; Asante Kotoko have announced the intention to open formal talks with the Hearts of Oak captain who is free to negotiate a new deal with any club of his choice per the FIFA rules regarding player transfers.

The Ghana international is however being engaged by Hearts officials over a contract renewal.

The former Sporting Mirren player has however casted great doubts over his stay at Hearts by refusing to declare he wants to remain with the Phobians.

“I am a professional, I don’t discuss my contract with outsiders, I will like to keep my contract in silence and discuss it with the right people and you will get to know what happens as time goes on,” he said.

Otoo’s evasiveness on the subject of his stay at Hearts could give impetus to Kotoko’s bid to sign him at the end of the season.
