Sulley Muntari captains Black Stars to face Gabon

Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari will captain the Black Stars when they play Gabon in a friendly on Tuesday night.

The enforcer has been given the rare chance to lead his country after the absence of some key players in the key.

Regular captain John Mensah is unavailable because of illness while John Pantsil who would have deputised is absent because of visa problem.

As such in the leadership hierarchy, Muntari steps to take over the post and lead the squad for their final friendly before the squad is named for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match will be played at Stade Municipal - Saint-Leu-la-Forêt and the game kicks off at 17:00GMT (Ghanatime).
