Ghanasoccernet.com picks its team of the week after monitoring some players in action on Sunday in the concluding part of players abroad this weekend.

England:

Michael Essien did not make the trip to Anfield where Chelsea suffered a second defeat of the Premier League.

The champions were subjected to a 2-0 losss by Liverpool with Fernando Torres getting both goals.

Scotland:

Francis Dickoh watched from the bench when Hearts of Midlothian silenced Hibernian 2-0 at the Easter Road Stadium.

Spain:

Derek Boateng was red-carded after a bad challenge on the 57th minute in Getafe's 1-3 home reverse to giants Barcelona.

Italy:

Kevin-Prince Boateng lost his place in Milan's first team as they survived a late scare from Bari in a 3-2 win.

Cesena dropped to the relegation zone after slumping to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Juventus.

Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah was in midfield for Cesena as they suffered their third consecutive defeat.

Cagliari stood between Udinese and their fifth victory in a row by holding them to a pulsating 1-1 draw at the Estadio Friuli.

Kwadwo Asamoah played full time while compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was an unused substitute.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was a 65th minute substitute for Genoa in Sunday's late kick-off as Palermo nicked a 1-0 win.

France:

Olympique Marseille were given a reality check by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc de Princes in a 2-1 reverse.

Jordan Ayew remained on the bench and his elder brother Andre replaced Mathieu Valbuena on the 75th minute.

Holland:

Nana Akwasi Asare is yet to return from injury for Utrecht which lost at home to second placed PSV Eindhoven by two goals to one.

Youngster Erixon Danso was also missing from the Utrecht first team.

Laryea Kingston made it for the first time in Vitesse Arnhem's first team but was not handed playing time in their 1-1 draw with with AZ Alkmaar.

Eric Addo warmed the bench for Roda JC as they held giants Feyenoord to a 1-1 draw at the De Kuip Stadion.

Denmark:

Enock Adu-Kofi was assigned a holding midfield role in Nordsjælland 0-1 away loss to Silkeborg.

Russia:

Haminu Dramani watched the action from the bench in Lokomotiv Moscow's barren draw with Alania Vladikavkaz in the Russian Premier League.

Belgium:

William Owusu Acheampong saw full time action for Cercle Brugge which suffered a shock 0-1 home defeat to KAA Gent.

Sweden:

Former Asante Kotoko star midfielder Yusif Chibsah played full throttle for Gefle IK but James Frempong was removed after 82 minutes in their 2-2 draw at IFK Gotenburg.

Switzerland:

Samuel Inkoom was instrumental for Basel which split points with Lucerne in a one-all draw.

Norway:

Adam Larsen Kwarasey picked three goals from his net but his side Strømsgodset scored five to ensure they sealed a nervy 5-4 win over Lillestrøm.

The 22-year-old was replaced on the 80th minute by substitute goalkeeper Stubhaug.

Manchester City loanee Mohammed Abu started the game from the bench.

Champions Rosenborg BK played a sloppy game to draw 2-2 with Aalesunds at home.
