Ghanasoccernet.com picks its team of the week for Ghanaian players abroad after monitoring their performances this weekend.

England:

Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah helped Sunderland to send West Ham United back to the bottom of the Premier table on Sunday evening.

The pair started the game for the Black Cats in their 1-0 win.

Gyan found space on the 34th minute and squared for Jordan Henderson to sweep the ball in for the match winner.

Gyan was replaced on the 90th minute by Boudewijn Zenden.

Spain:

Getafe put their Europa League woes behind them to down Real Mallorca 3-0 at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Ghana world Cup midfielder Derek Boateng was cautioned on the 12th minute for a rough challenge.

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie was an unused substitute for Malaga which launched a quick fire attack to demolish Racing Santander 4-1 at the Estadio La Rosaleda.

The dribbling magician has seen little action since the arrival of former Real Madrid Boss Manuel Pellegrini.

In the Segunda Division, Wakaso Mubarak was a 72nd minute substitute for Elche FC which ended their five match winless streak by silencing U.D Salamanca 3-1.

Italy:

Stephen Appiah returned to first team action for Cesena but could not help them avoid defeat at home. They endured a 2-0 reverse to Bologna.

The Ex-Ghana skipper was replaced after recess.

Ghana Under-20 lethal forward Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was absent from the Genoa team sheet which beat Lecce 1-3.

Parma applied the brake on Udinese at the Ennio Tardini with a 2-1 victory.

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah fought in midfield for the Little Zebras while compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was an unused substitute.

Germany:

Isaac Boakye could not make the grade for first team selection at Nurnberg which suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Godfred Aduobe played 71 minutes for Karlsruhe which suffered a 1-0 loss at Fortuna Düsseldorf.

France:

Olympique Marseille lost their leadership of the Ligue 1 after slipping to a 1-0 defeat in the South Coast derby.

Andre Ayew lasted 70 minutes on the pitch while his younger brother Jordan Ayew was introduced after 79 minutes but could not help the champions avoid defeat.

Holland:

Nana Kwasi Asare was away to injury and watched FC Utrecht's game from the stands when they beat Heerenveen 2-1.

Youngster Erixon Danso was also out of the Utrecht first team.

Belgium:

Vadis Odjija Ofoe was on target for Club Brugge in their 4-3 comprehensive victory over KVC Westerlo on Sunday.

The would-be Ghanaian put Brugge in the lead with a fine strike on the 21st minute.

Denmark:

Enoch Adu Kofi was an 87th minute substitute for FC Nordsjælland in their 2-1 narrow win over AC Horsens.

Issah Ahmed provided a towering support at the back for Randers FC which picked a vital away point at Sonderjyske in a 1-1 draw.

Switzerland:

Mark Edusei played 66 minutes for Bellizona which was humiliated at home by Lucerne,they lost 0-3.

Israel:

Ghanaian trio Stephen Ahorlu, Osman Bashiru and Eric Gawu all started for Hapoel Ashkelon which recorded a 5th straight defeat in a 4-0 reverse to Beitar Jerusalem.

Former Kessben FC and Under-23 defender Daniel Addo was a component of a lackluster Hapoel Petah Tikva defence which conceded five goals against giants Hapoel Tel Aviv.
