Jacob Teye- father of Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey, believes that his son has the qualities to lead Ghana's Black Stars in the future.

The 26-year-old has gotten the opportunity to captain the Black Stars in some international friendly games notably against Japan in 2018.

According to Partey's dad, the position comes with leadership and his son possess those qualities to lead the Black Stars.

“I was very happy when my son got the first national team call up. I will support my son to become the national team captain if the chance comes, sometimes captaincy is about seniority. My son is having the qualities a captain should have", he told Live FM.

He added: “Sometimes in football, you will have your day and sometimes too you will be flop in a game so when it comes to that I always tell him to be cool.”

Partey's father also advised footballers to train hard and avoid womanizing to enjoy a good career.

“My advice to the youth is anybody who wishes to be a footballer should train very hard but if you like ladies please you should be a tailor and stop any sports activity.”

Thomas Partey is currently being linked to English Premier League side Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
