Inform Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey came on as a second-half substitute to help Atletico Madrid record their fourth league win of the season against Sevilla on Saturday.
With new signing Diego Costa watching on from the stands, Atleti produced a real show of strength and fired a warning to Champions League opponents Chelsea as they comfortably brushed aside Sevilla 2-0.
Partey was brought on with 15 minutes remaining and he did perform to the expectation of the demanding coach Diego Simeone.
It was 24-years old sixth appearance of the campaign. He would be expected to be in action when Atleti welcome Premier League champions Chelsea in midweek.
