Ace Norwegian sports journalist Ivar Hoff has lambasted Gilbert Koomson for trying to force his way out of SK Brann after refusing to turn up for training without permission.

Koomson, 26, has not hidden his desire to test himself in another league after spending seven years in the Scandinavian country.

However, Brann are resolved in keeping their prized asset despite a strong interest from newly-promoted Turkish SupaLiga side BB Erzurumspor.

In his bid to depart the Bergen-based club, Koomson failed to turn up for training with his side and did not get seek the permission to skip the daily schedule with his club.

Though he has issued an apology to the club and his teammates after returning to training later last week, renowned sports journalist Ivar Hoff believes he should be frozen out of the team for demonstrating such behaviour towards the club.

“I had cut out Koomson. You do not win matches with such players in the stable. What signal do you send to the rest of the team if you take him in again? was the harsh verdict of Ivar Hoff in FotballXtra

Koomson is the club’s top scorer this season with 8 goals in 17 matches.
