Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari could join English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday. According to reports in Italy, talks between the two clubs are far advanced and the left-footed player looks set to reunite with former manager Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane.

Muntari last week rejected a move to join Liverpool in a swap deal that would have seen Argentine Javier Mascherano move in the opposite direction.

Spurs have qualified for this season's Uefa Champions League are drawn in the same group with champions Inter Milan, FC Twente and Werder Bremen.

Muntari joined Inter three seasons and has won two scudetto titles, the Champions League and the Coppa Italia all under Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
