TP Mazembe coach Patrice Carteron has praised the qualities of Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei ahead of their Ghanaian President Cup clash against Hearts of Oak in Accra.
The French tactician took over as Mazembe head coach after leaving Mali last month.
Carteron has studied all five Ghanaian players in the Ravens campaign and has singled out the former Asante Kotoko midfielder for his brilliance in the middle.
"He (Adjei) is a very quality midfielder. We won 6-0 Virunga and he played very well in the middle," he told reporters at the President Cup briefing in Accra.
However, he advised the 24-year-old needs to improve on his fitness.
"Getting to the latter stages, he looked exhausted and he needs to work on his fitness."
Adjei won the Ghana Premier League best player of the season award last term and is expected to play a crucial role against the Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
