TSV Hartberg set to release Ghanaian forward Seth Painstil

Published on: 27 January 2022

Austrian topflight side TSV Hartberg will be releasing Ghanaian forward Seth Painstil before the winter transfer window closes.

The experience attacker is deemed surplus to requirement and was not part of the team for the mid-season camping in Turkey.

With the team returning to Austria, Director of Football, Erich Korherr revealed the Ghanaian is not part of their plans.

"All three (Marc Schmerböck, Seth Paintsil and Michael John Lema) will no longer be in the squad in the spring and will no longer get any minutes of action," said chairman Erich Korherr to the Kleine Zeitung.

”At the moment there are neither offers nor talks with other clubs.

"We'll see what happens before the end of the transfer period. But we ourselves will no longer be active on the transfer market. The squad is big enough,” he concluded.

Painstil made only 11 appearances for Hartberg this season in the 2021/22 Austrian Bundesliga.
